US Bomb, 750 lb Leaflet, M129, M129E1, M129E2

These are internally or externally carried, air launched, fin stabilized, free fall, side opening bombs which employ a mechanical time nose fuze. They are used to dispense leaflets or chaff. The M129, M129E1, and M129E2 are identical except the M129E1 and M129E2 have larger reinforcing plates (strong back). The MJU-1/B has the same physical description as the M129 series leaflet bombs except it is loaded with various types of chaff.

The bombs are olive drab (OD) with white markings.

The M129, M129E1 and M129E2 leaflet bombs are identical except that the M129E1 and M129E2 have a larger reinforcing plate mounted inside the top half of the body to provide better reinforcement against ejection forces and to withstand pylon sway brace pressure. In addition, the M129E2 is provided with only two suspension lug wells.
